Despite facing bullying and challenges, Zakk's celebration of androgyny and eccentricities earned him respect among peers. Growing up on Auckland's North Shore, he embraced his uniqueness and focused on accepting his gender-fluidity, leading to a liberating evolution towards androgyny. Empowered to show his true self, he became an advocate for change, driven to empower youth and promote success through diversity.

Zakk's passion lies in effecting attitudinal change in mainstream society and the LGBTQI+ community. His advocacy work, focused on gender identity and self-expression, led him to join the Auckland Pride Festival Board and the Rainbow Auckland Executive. Beyond design, Zakk uses his platform to inspire and motivate others, receiving messages from young people inspired by his authenticity to embrace their true selves.

Inspired by gender-bending icons like David Bowie, Grace Jones, and Lady Gaga, Zakk feels a sense of purpose in being an outcast, unbound by societal moulds. He prioritises working with brands that advocate diversity and inclusion, infusing every project with his unparalleled originality, colour, and creative flair, always delivering on brief and deadline.
